Carles Agustí i Hernàndez is an International Governance Consultant and ODS Manager for the IFGICT. He is an expert in International Relations, Open Government, Transparency, Big Data, ODS, Innovation, Smart Cities and New Models of Governance. He is an international lecturer on these topics, attending more than 100 congresses and events around the world. He is nominated by the World CSR organization as one of the 50 best experts in Smart Cities worldwide.
He, and his team, launched the Open Government of Barcelona (governobert.bcn.cat) and achieving the goal that Barcelona meets 100% the criteria of international transparency, subsequently deploying the Open Government plan of the Provincial Council from Barcelona, DibaOberta.
He is also a member of the Advisory Committee of the Open Data Institute Barcelona, of the Advisory Council of the international organization Leading Cities and a member of the Open Government Commission of UCLG (United Cities and Local Governments). He is senior advisor, mentor and collaborator in various companies and institutions such as Esade Creapolis, Center Blockchain Catalunya, Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Fundación Innova Talentum, Public Sector HR Forum, among others.
He has been director of Innovation and Democratic Quality of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Councilor for Citizen Participation and Associations of the Barcelona City Council and also Secretary General of the International Observatory of Participatory Democracy (OIDP), an international organization with more than 750 cities and 65 associations countries.
