Hugo José Pinto studied Management Informatics at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. From an early age connected to software development, from 1998 onwards he participated in a wide range of development, architecture and project management positions in leading consulting companies in the Portuguese IT market. He left the Portuguese market in 2005 for the Research and Development (R&D) department at Vodafone Global in Maastricht, Holland, where he returned two years later to form Inovaworks, a 100% Portuguese company dedicated to the practical application of innovative and disruptive technology in chains conventional value in industry and services. Today, he directs Inovaworks Command and Control, guiding the development of its flagship product, the Command and Control solution for Distributed Operations, Real-Time Monitoring and Smart Cities management called GeoC2.
