João Ministro, 47 years old, graduated in Environmental Engineering from the University of Algarve, General Director of Proactivetur, a tour operator focused in ecotourism, creative tourism and consultant in local development projects. Between 2004 and 2010 was the Director of the Ecotourism Department at Almargem ’s NGO during which period he managed the Via Algarviana project, coordinated the regional study for the promotion of Ornithological Tourism and started the Sagres Bird Watching Festival. Since 2010 has been managing Proactivetur and promoting several projects, such as the Projecto TASA or the Ameixial Walking Festival. One o the founders of the Cooperative QRER, which collaborates in other development initiatives in the Algarve interior.
